Welcome

Welcome to my blog! If you watch the Super Bowl for the ads or you don't just skip the ads every time you watch a video on YouTube, then this is the blog for you!

Every post will feature an advertisement and will be judged based on the criteria below and on the page above. I hope this blog is helpful and enjoyable! The four areas I am critiquing are humor, effectiveness, emotion, and customer reviews.

I will score ads on a 1-5 scale based on the four areas below.

1: Not at all

2: Minimal
3: Average
4: Above Average
5: Excellent

Humor
How funny and memorable the advertisement is. Does the humor only reach a certain age group or can it be interesting for all ages?  Does it leave a lasting mark in people's minds?

Effectiveness
How effective does the company believe the ad has been in reaching its target audience? Has the ad promoted its product or service well enough to see results?

Emotion
Does the ad inspire emotion or purpose? Is it meant to make the audience do something besides only buying a product or service? Does the ad promote a social cause?

Customer Reviews
Does the customer believe that the ad promoted a good product or service? Or does the ad deceive the customer.

Some advertisements I will be covering are Geico's "Happier than a Camel on Hump Day", Ram Trucks "Farmer", Kmart "Ship My Pants", Dove "Real Beauty Sketches", AT&T "It's Not Complicated 'Infinity'", and many more!
